Donald Trump has come under fresh attack over his dogged refusal to concede November’s election, with former Republican speech writer Peter Wehner branding him “essentially sociopathic” on MSNBC.
The president’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen went further, telling Vanity Fair: “He has an incredibly fragile ego and his fragile ego will not allow him to acknowledge that he is a loser, that he lost the election to Joe Biden … This is a cash grab. When you finish a job, you’re always thinking about how to reinvent yourself. That’s what Donald Trump is doing right now.”
In the latest setback Donald Trump’s right-wing media allies, notably Fox News and Newsmax have been forced to drop their conspiracy theories on his behalf after receiving a legal threat from Dominion and Smartmatic, manufacturers of voting machines, both of whom deny their devices are vulnerable to manipulation.
According to Reuters, The ‘exiting’ President is spending day after day in The White House entertaining crackpot theories like imposing martial law and staging an intervention in Congress in January 6 to steal the election from President-elect Joe Biden.
Also in Donald Trump’s line of fire is Vice President Mike Pence. The President is lashing out at Pence for not fighting hard enough to overturn the elections, insiders reveal.
His role, according to people who have discussed the matter with Trump, is looming in the president’s mind. By Pence performing his constitutional duty to certify the electors’ votes, Trump would view his No. 2 as betraying him.
According to Daily Mail, the same insider indicated that Trump is only surrounding himself now with those who egg on his bid to overturn the election, distancing himself from anyone who doesn’t agree that voting machine errors and Democratic cheating were behind his reelection loss.
